Matthew J. Minnetian is a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager of the Global Credit team, and he is Director of Credit Income Oriented Strategies, responsible for developing income-focused investment solutions for global clients across investment-grade and high-yield markets. He also oversees the firm’s fixed-income investing in the financials sector, including the management of bank hybrid funds. An expert in managing corporate bond portfolios, Minnetian has worked closely with insurance clients to develop buy and hold, liability matching, and total return investment strategies to meet the distinct needs of insurance companies. Prior to joining AB in 1994, he was a senior fixed-income credit research analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ), where he covered investment-grade and high-yield insurance credits. Previously, Minnetian followed the insurance sector as an analyst in DLJ’s Equity Research Group and as an industry analyst at Marsh & McLennan. He holds a BA in economics and an MBA, both from Columbia University, and is a CFA charterholder. Location: New York
