Clare G. Golla, CFP®

Director and Principal

Clare Golla is a Director in the Chicago office of Bernstein. She oversees the Midwest private client practice and provides comprehensive wealth management solutions for high-net-worth individuals and families, tax-exempt organizations, businesses, and retirement plans. She joined Bernstein in 2010 as a financial advisor and was promoted to Principal in 2016. During this time, she also became a member of AB’s global Responsible Investing Committee as well as the firm’s national Philanthropy Services team. Prior to joining the firm, Clare was a senior vice president for a leading community development financial institution, where she directed the company’s national institutional practice and built its presence in the nonprofit and philanthropic marketplace. Clare earned her BA, magna cum laude, from Harvard University and her MA from the University of Chicago. She is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and she is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Clare has served on numerous boards of directors and finance committees including the Oak Park–River Forest Community Foundation, Gary Comer Youth Center, Chicago Foundation for Women, and the Harvard Club of Chicago. She lives in Oak Park, Illinois, with her husband, Adam, and their two daughters, Katie and Deirdre.

Giving Tuesday, November 27, comes at a time of year when individuals and organizations reassess their giving goals and make year-end donations. There are many ways to structure gifts to maximize the benefit to both the receiving charity and the donor.
